Finding the Magic is not about retreating.
Finding the Magic is about embracing and delighting and nourishing and connecting.
It is about taking a bit of time for yourself so that you can return to your life feeling more full and more nourished and more connected than ever before.
It is about spending time walking on ancient ground and visiting sacred places, all of which whisper to you that anything is possible.
It is about being part of an intimate circle of only 7 women, creating community, journaling, creating, making magic, holding space for each other, and believing in our dreams.
It is about learning how to not only find the magic but how to actively participate in it.
Because that is where the true Magic is: it’s about listening to your spirit, paying attention, and then participating in the creation of your life.

THE PLACES
BATH
The longer I am away from England, the more certain places call to my heart. I can hear their whispers calling me to come back: our adventures are not over.
The week after I had the idea for my novel, I was sent on a work trip to Bath Spa. At the end of the weekend, I decided enough was enough and I took myself on a tour of the Roman Baths. There, in a dark ante-chamber I came face-to-face with both the goddess Minerva and a Gorgon who reminded me of my Dad. As I stared at them, the rest of my book ‘Unfurl’ed around me.
I’m not the only one who thinks it’s wonderful. UNESCO has it on the World Heritage List and says that The City of Bath is of Outstanding Universal Value.
It is a place of magic; of history and enchantment so deep, you can feel it with every step and see it around every corner.
I invite you to come and find some of that magic for yourself.

GLASTONBURY
There is nowhere on earth quite like Glastonbury. There are stories of it being the Isle of Avalon, and the burial place of King Arthur and Queen Guinevere. They say that the Tor is on an important Ley Line and that it forms a “right-angled triangle with Avebury and Stonehenge.” There are stories of the Holy Grail being placed into the Chalice Well, and that Jesus himself visited this place.
One step into the Glastonbury of today and you will see why this place has inspired so many stories. It is magical. At any moment you might see a wizard walking by, and every shop sells something magical. The latest thing I have heard is that Glastonbury sits on the site of the earth’s heart chakra. How can you not want to visit a place like that? It’s one of my favourite places on the planet and I can’t wait to show it to you.

WHAT WILL WE DO?
I’ll be waiting for you at our house on Monday afternoon, just in time for tea and to settle in before dinner and an opening ceremony.
Tuesday, we will spend time doing workshops, writing under trees, and finding the magic in the city.
Wednesday we will spend the day in Glastonbury, starting with a group trip to visit the Chalice Well.
Thursday is a bit up in the air while we decide what’s open and safe. I have a few ideas depending on the options available – but no matter what, Thursday will be Magical!)
There will also be time for journalling, exploring on your own, or just curling up in our cozy space to rest and dream.
On Friday morning we will have one last breakfast together before heading for home.

WHAT’S INCLUDED?
4 nights accommodation- 4 breakfasts, 4 dinners, and 1 lunch (after you register, I’ll send you an email asking about dietary requirements and most favourite foods. Yep, we will be doing some Magical Eating!)

Our accommodation is within walking distance of the Bath Spa train station, or there are taxis. Please note that there are steps to access both the house and the bedrooms, please contact me about any accessibility concerns.
WHAT’S NOT INCLUDED
Airfare, transportation to Bath Spa and the house before the retreat, 3 lunches, alcohol, insurance, spending money, and accommodation before or after the retreat.
ACCOMMODATION AND PRICING
We will be staying in a house in the centre of Bath, very near the Royal Crescent and the Circus. The house is accessed by a set of steps. All bedrooms and bathrooms are up further steps. There are two shared (2 per room) rooms and two private (1 per room) rooms. There are 2 shared bathrooms – one on each bedroom floor. All accommodation will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

As there are so few places, please email me to say ‘yes!’ (by emailing me, you acknowledge that you have read and understand the cancellation policy below) and let me know whether you would like to pay the whole thing now, or if you would prefer to put down a downpayment (of £400) and then to pay the rest in instalments. All payments to be made in full by March 7, 2022.
You must either pay a deposit or pay in full to secure a spot at the retreat. UK participants can pay me via bank transfer. You do not need to have a PayPal account to use Paypal, as they will process all major credit cards and cheques.

CANCELLATION POLICY
Because of the nature of this retreat, cancellations will not be fully or partially refunded, but your spot is transferrable. This means that if you find that you can’t come, you can sell or gift your spot to someone else. If the retreat is full and there is a waiting list, I will help you make contact with the next person on the list.
In the event of a retreat cancellation due to: a personal family emergency for myself (Meghan Genge), Acts of God, weather, natural disaster, pandemic, or political upheaval, I may not be able to offer a full refund. I will first try to reschedule this retreat, but any refunds will depend on me receiving a refund from the venue / tour operator that I have booked with. To cover these risks, I highly recommend that you purchase travel insurance to cover your entire retreat/ health/ travel costs.
There will be no refunds or discounts for participants who experience travel delays, illness, family emergencies, or those who wish to come late or leave early. I wish I could do more, but costs for the retreat are all paid to the service providers/ venues/ caterers, etc., beforehand.
Again, to cover these risks, I highly recommend that you purchase travel insurance to cover your entire retreat/ health/ travel costs.
There will be no exceptions to this policy.
